Light to Dark

When Cadon was born he had a head of dark hair.  A few weeks later it fell out and he had peach fuzz.  When his hair grew back in it was so blond it bordered on white which is what is has been for the last four years and I love it on him, although I knew it wouldn't last forever.  Lately the crown of his head as started getting darker, like a dark blond.  The other night, however, as he was lying on my lap, I found this:

This is not the color I thought his hair would be.  This is dark brown.  This is hair like daddies.  We appear to be going from one extreme to the other.  Cadon is excited to be like daddy, I am sad to see his blond hair changing.  He will have such a different look.  I am going to have to take a bazillion pictures before all his hair changes (which will probably still be a little while) to treasure up the memories of my little "towhead".
