Fun in the Snow

Randon and I spent last week in Colorado snow skiing at Copper Mountain. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a great time skiing, getting away from work, and having alone time. We missed our babies and were glad to see them when we got back. Thanks to Grammy and Pappou for taking care of them for us! I think they had just as much fun as we did. However, after driving in four states over two days to come back and and get our kiddos, it is nice to be home. Here are some pics from our trip.

The pic above is actually from last year, but since we went to the same mountain, and dressed the same, I elected not to buy another one this year.

These were taken just outside our condo.

Are you Blue?

Tonight, as we were driving around in our car, Emily started singing the song from Veggie Tales "Madam Blueberry" "I'm so blue hoo hoo blue hoo hoo blue hoo hoo hoo, I'm so blue I don't know what to do." For those not up on their Veggie Tales, Madam Blueberry has envy issues and wants everything everyone else has. She is singing this song over her sadness for not having the things she wants. It is a great lesson on being content with what God has given you. Anyway, back to Emily singing. She sang this chorus around 5 times when I turned around and asked "Are you blue?" She looked right at me and said, "No, I am white." Randon and I looked at each other and just burst out in laughter. It never occured to me she was literally thinking about the color blue, I guess. She probably thought I was a crazy asking such a question! I think what amazed me more was how she identified herself white, when we have never discussed racial color before. She constantly amazes us and fills our lives with laughter! Anyone with a toddler knows what I mean!

Pneumonia

That's right, Cadon has pnuemonia. I think I must have turned white and my eyes about pop out of my head when Dr. Stephens told me, because he explained he thought this was better than starting with chronic ear infections this year like we had last year. We got two shots to jump start treatment and he is already back to his playful self, except for the horrid cough, though we want the cough to break up the junk in his lungs. I must admit, it is scarey hearing pneumonia related to your 20 mo old. Please pray he continues to get well and that this will be our only problem this winter.
