Giddy...

such a school girl word, but I am using it because that is kinda what I am right now. A giddy school girl! And why you may wonder, well because of this...

I have ALWAYS wanted to know how to play the piano and now my school girl dream is coming true. Randon's aunt and uncle gave it to us on Sunday and I have already spent several hours sitting at it and learning some basics. I am enjoying it so much. Emily is enjoying it too. She has wanted to learn to play an instrument and the piano was on her list too. In a couple of years will start her on lessons, but for now she enjoys pretending. You are never too old to fulfill a dream!

Polar Express, part 2

So a week after riding the Polar Express, they got to watch the movie again at church. R took them and they had such a wonderful evening. We are blessed with our church family and this night is just another reason why we love it. They love our kids!

My kids think this is a pretty cool conductor!

Thanks to everyone who put this night on and made a special evening for so many MRCC kids!

The Polar Express, part 1

My little man has been consumed with the Polar Express this Holiday. We have read the book more times than I can count, and watched the movie enough where it has been completely memorized and acted out with his trains on nearly a daily basis. I love it though!

So at Thanksgiving my parents took us all on a trip on the Polar Express. We caught the train (in our jammies) in Texas and rode to the North Pole and back. We had hot chocolate, danced and sang Christmas carols. It was such a fun time. Santa even got on board and gave the children a silver bell. It rings, so we all must believe!!!!

Here are pics from our adventure...

5

who knew that was such a HUGE number. I didn't until my baby girl had her 5th birthday this year. It was a hard one for me, there were some tears. It just seems like 5 is the pivotal age of releasing all things baby/toddler and turning into the "big girl". I still can't believe it has been five years since I brought this precious tiny girl home.

This year we celebrated with family Mermaid style and then on her actual birthday she invited a few friends over for a pumpkin decorating party. She had a great time!!! Thanks to everyone who made her day so special!

Backwards

Well, it has been so long I don't know where to start, so I think I shall work backwards. At least you will know the most recent stuff that way.

Halloween this year was so much fun. Both of the kids were really into it this year. They went right up to everyone and said "trick or treat" and "thank you". Emily's goal was to get candy to the top of bag. She almost did it.

We had a Toy Story 2 theme this year. All their idea and it worked out great. Emily was Jesse and Cadon was Buzz Lightyear. Emily had to make Jesse a little more girlie. No jeans for this girl, it was a red pettiskirt all the way.

I love this stage!! They are already excited about Christmas. Emily is ready to make her list for Santa and Cadon wants to put up the tree. This will be a fun year!!!

I leave you with some pics of my favorite Toy Story toys:

The Blur called September

I can't believe this is the last day of the month (Happy Birthday Mom!). This month will go down in my history book and the fastest one on record. It was full of everything, fun, excitement, sickness, sadness... it was so busy I think I passed my self a few times. I plan to catch up over the next few days, so prepare to experience the blur firsthand.

Here's to a slow October!!!
