Autumn

I love fall. It is the season I enjoy the most. The leaves changing, the smell of pumpkin (not the taste) and the crisp morning air. Soup, I love soup and fall makes that my dinner of choice. I love snuggling under my down comforter and cuddling with my man because it is chilly outside. I love on it Saturdays when my kids jump in bed with us to snuggle under the covers too. I love the anticipation of the holidays and eating a Thanksgiving meal with family! I love watching my kids play in the leaves and find the simplest joy in things that God made. It is like He is putting on a color display to remind me beauty exist after a hot Oklahoma summer. Thank you God for fall!!!! "For everything there is a season and purpose under heaven." Eccl 3:1

October Catch Up

October was a busy month!

Emily turned 4! (I also celebrated a birthday #31)

Our niece Kinzie was born. Welcome little one!
We were visited by Pirates (arrr matey!)
and Diva Witches
and we have fallen in love with ballet!
We also were finally able to move into our home! I really feel like Dorothy, "there's no place like home." Even though I love being wherever my family is, it is definitely a blessing to be in a house! (more pics of that to come later, still decorating!)

The Time Has Come...

Our house is ready and now it is time to MOVE!!!! Pack the boxes again we are heading out of apartment life and not looking back!

Dining Room Table

This has been my dining room table for the last three months. Not much serving space, not much dining space, but it has served it purpose in our humble apartment. I must say I am looking foward to serving a meal at a new table. My small table and small apt kitchen has not lead to many gourmet meals.




On a side note, I must say I am looking forward to being a homeowner again. Living in an apartment with two pre schoolers has taught me a lot. I believe God can use any experience to teach his children and He has made me a better person from it. But that could be another blog. Here are some pics of the almost finished abode.

Power of Praying Women

The women with me in this picture are amazing. We have been prayer warriors together for nearly 10 months. God has revealed himself in amazing ways to us over this time and worked his wonders, I believe because of our faith and constant prayer to him. We have had to postpone meeting on a regular basis for various reasons, but I know we will continue to lift each other up during this time. I want each of you to know you reveal God's love to me in amazing ways and I treasure each of you!

First Day of School

The day we have anxiously and nervously awaited arrived and went smoothly. Emily has been anxiously awaiting the first day of Sonshine School. This girl loves it!!! She asked me last week if she was going to learn at Sonshine School and I said, "yes". She cheered with excitement! I hope this enthusiasm last the next 13+ years.

I nervously approached yesterday since it was Cadon's first time to go to Sonshine School. He did great! There was about a literal second of tears, but when he saw the toys he ran over and didn't look back. He napped, we had to wake him up to leave. What a change from my non-napping daughter.

Randon took the morning off to take them the first day, but then decided to take the whole day off. We had several things to do and it made it easier and fun to do it kid free and spend the day together. It was so much fun I think we will start the tradition of taking the day for us when they go back to school!

After school we went and celebrated with ice cream. What a fun full day!

Side note. I have mentioned how much Cadon LOVES his Cars shoes. Last night I put them on his dresser behind a puzzle box when he was brushing his teeth. I also picked up some books and put them in his chair. When I went to check on him before I went to bed, I noticed the books on the floor. Hmm, odd, but he must have looked at them and then got back into bed. Wait, the chair has moved further down the wall. As I check on him I notice that he is wearing the shoes to bed. He took the books out of his chair, moved the chair to his dresser, got the shoes, put them on and moved the chair back to its approximate position. Sneaky boy!
